“Strawberry” is a salad that will appeal to both adults and children. This dish is very simple to prepare and does not require any special expenses. Of course, the salad does not contain fruits or berries. The snack got its name due to its interesting appearance. it can be done in any way, but most often it is made in the form of a juicy berry.

"Strawberry" salad: recipe

To prepare this dish you need a simple set of ingredients:

  1. Chicken (preferably breast) 250 grams.
  2. Any boiled mushrooms, 200 grams.
  3. Onion, one head.
  4. Cheese, preferably hard, 100 grams.
  5. Fresh cucumber.
  6. A few tomatoes.
  7. Sunflower oil.
  8. Salt.

Food preparation

“Strawberry” is a salad that needs to be laid out in layers, so all products must be prepared in advance. First, boil the chicken breast, preferably in lightly salted water. The poultry meat will be ready 40 minutes after boiling. The chicken needs to be cut (small).

The onion head must be peeled and then finely cut into cubes. It should be fried in vegetable oil until golden brown. This one takes about 10 minutes. also needs to be crushed. You can simply grate it.

“Strawberry” is a salad for which you can use almost any mushroom. Not only champignons are ideal for this dish, but also boletus, boletus, oyster mushrooms, and so on. They should be pre-boiled, cut, and then fried for 20 minutes over medium heat. Mushrooms also need to be salted.

Tomatoes should be peeled and cut into cubes. Excess liquid should be drained. Cucumbers must be washed. They should cut off the ends (about seven centimeters) and cut into strips, and the middle into cubes.

Forming a salad

“Strawberry” is a salad that should look like a berry in appearance, so it needs to be laid out in the shape of a heart. In this case, it is better to use a flat dish. Each layer should be coated with mayonnaise. Products must be laid out carefully to maintain the shape of the dish. The sequence of layers is as follows:

  1. Chicken meat combined with onions.
  2. Mushrooms with cheese and a layer of mayonnaise.
  3. Finely chopped fresh cucumber.
  4. Chopped tomatoes. There is no need to coat this layer with mayonnaise.

That's it! All that remains is to decorate the finished salad with strips of fresh cucumber, forming a stalk and leaves from them. You can also make “berry” seeds. In this case, you can also use cucumber.

Step 1: Soak the beans.

You can, of course, do without this step, but it’s still better not to skip it, because when beans are soaked, those substances that cause gas formation and complicate the digestive process dissolve in water. In addition, water returns moisture to the beans, which will significantly reduce cooking time in the future. Place the beans in a deep plate and pour completely cold water. Leave the beans like this all night, and we’ll start preparing the salad itself the next day!

Step 2: Cook the beans until tender.

So, the night has passed, and our beans are almost ready. We rinse it with cold and clean water, select the ugly beans, put the selected beans in a saucepan and fill with clean cold water in the amount of 1 liter. Pan on the stove for an hour and a half- The beans should be cooked until tender. We place the finished boiled beans in a colander and drain the water.

Step 3: Prepare the ingredients.


For now, let's move on to the rest of the ingredients. For example, smoked chicken breast should be cut into cubes. A sharp knife and cutting board will help us with this.
Peel the garlic and squeeze it using a garlic press into a deep plate. Peel the carrots and finely grate them. We send it to the garlic. A little later I will tell you what needs to be done with them. For now, we will just wash the tomatoes and lettuce needed for decoration properly, and we will finally deal with them during the decoration process. Let them dry for now.

Step 4: Prepare the Spicy Strawberry Salad.

We will prepare the salad by collecting the ingredients in layers on a flat, spacious salad bowl. Do you have one? Then let's begin! We place the first layer of smoked chicken breast cubes, and then grease the layer with mayonnaise. Then a layer of boiled red beans. There is no need to lubricate, I will remind you of something. We set aside the grated carrots and crushed garlic, add salt to taste and brush with mayonnaise - this will be our third layer of salad. Almost ready, all that's left is to decorate it!

Step 5: Prepare the Spicy Strawberry Salad.

Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the pulp and juice, and cut the hard part into small cubes. Place the tomatoes on top of the salad, trying to place them as evenly as possible to hide the filling from the eyes of guests.
Lettuce leaves will play the role of a green sprig, and we will place sesame seeds in such a way that they resemble strawberry seeds. That's it! Place the salad bowl with lettuce in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours for soaking.

When the salad is soaked, you can take it out of the refrigerator and take it to the holiday table. Preparation

1. Boil the chicken fillet in advance in boiling salted water for about 30 minutes and cool. Remember that chilled ingredients are added to the salad, otherwise hot ones will reduce its shelf life. Wash the mushrooms in water and cut into thin slices. Peel the onion and rinse it in water, cut it into small cubes and fry together with the sliced ​​mushrooms in vegetable oil in a frying pan for about 10-15 minutes until the excess liquid has evaporated. Let's leave it to cool.

2. At this time, wash and cut the tomatoes into medium cubes. Add some salt and leave for 10 minutes to release the liquid. Be sure to salt it, otherwise our salad will “float.”

3. Cut the chicken fillet into cubes, place them on a dish, and on top of them - fried mushrooms and onions. There is no need to lubricate the layers - the mushroom layer already contains fat.

4. Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater and cover the mushroom layer with it.

5. Apply a mayonnaise mesh to the cheese layer and lay out a layer of tomato slices, trying to give the salad a heart shape. We will try to do this without any gaps. If there are not enough slices, then chop a couple more tomatoes.

Friends, the “Strawberry” salad is one of our family’s favorite salads for the holiday table, it’s easy to prepare and then decorated in the form of a juicy and everyone’s favorite, the very first berry that ripens at the dacha - strawberries. It's still far from strawberry season, but nothing will stop you and me from preparing such a beautiful and tasty dish in an original way.
Moreover, all products for tomatoes are quite accessible: chicken breast, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese and cucumbers. Today in the salad recipe I used my summer mushroom preparations - frozen boletus. Salad with chicken and tomatoes “Strawberry”

250 g chicken breast fillet

200 g of any boiled mushrooms (either frozen or freshly cooked)

1 onion

100 g hard cheese

1 fresh cucumber

2 tomatoes

salt, a little sunflower oil for frying

Preparation:

1. Boil the chicken breast in salted water until fully cooked - 40 minutes after boiling.

2. As I already wrote, this time I had my own fresh frozen mushrooms - boletus. In the summer, we freeze some of the mushrooms collected in the forest for the winter. To do this, we boil the chopped and washed mushrooms after boiling over low heat for 5 minutes and once they have cooled, place them in plastic bags and place them immediately in the freezer. Therefore, now you just need to defrost them and fry them over medium heat for 20 minutes, not forgetting to add salt.

If it were not for the salad where our fried mushrooms would go, then eating such mushrooms would be a complete pleasure - as if you had just brought them from the forest and the taste and aroma are wonderful! Let them cool while we get to the rest of the salad ingredients.

If you bought mushrooms at the store, for example, champignons, then preparing them for the salad will not be difficult. For example, you can take a look at my recipe for making something no less colorful and original, everything is explained there in detail with photos. And here, for the sake of brevity, I’ll just say that the champignons need to be washed, cut into slices and fried in a small amount of sunflower oil until all the liquid has evaporated from them and salted.

3. Onions, peeled and cut into small cubes

and send it after the mushrooms to fry until golden brown - 5-10 minutes over medium heat.

4. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

5. Our chicken breast has already cooked and cooled and we will cut it into small pieces for the salad.

6. Wash the tomatoes and cut off their skins, cut them into small cubes, and salt the excess liquid.

7. We will cut off the ends of the cucumber about 7 cm long - they will be used for decoration. And cut the middle into small cubes.

8. All the ingredients for laying out the strawberry salad are ready, and we will lay out our salad on a flat dish or plate in layers, coating each layer with mayonnaise in the following sequence:

1st layer: chicken meat with onions. First add the chopped chicken.

Then fried onions, which we coat with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

Layer 2: add fried mushrooms

Sprinkle grated cheese on top, then spread thinly with mayonnaise.

3rd layer: finely chopped cucumber, don’t forget about mayonnaise.

9. We coated all layers with mayonnaise,

Now we will put the last layer of tomatoes; we will no longer grease it with mayonnaise.

10. Now comes the most enjoyable part - decorating our salad, giving it a complete “strawberry” look :).

Cut slices from the ends of the cucumbers lengthwise with a knife.

and start making leaves out of them.

Cut the cucumber into strips with a fan lengthwise from the very top down.

We will finely chop the remaining cucumber peel - these will be the seeds of our strawberries.

Ingredients (for 4 servings): 2 large bunches of arugula, 200 g cherry tomatoes, 300 g ripe strawberries, 24 large peeled shrimp, 50 g grated Parmesan.

For refueling: 2 tbsp each balsamic vinegar, olive oil and chopped herbs, salt to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Rinse and dry the arugula.
  2. Wash the strawberries, dry them and cut them into quarters.
  3. Prepare a dressing from these ingredients.
  4. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into halves. Warm them slightly over high heat.
  5. Thaw the shrimp, rinse, salt, lightly sprinkle with sugar and fry on the grill or in a regular frying pan until cooked.
  6. Toss arugula, strawberries and tomatoes with dressing in a bowl.
  7. Divide the salad among warmed plates and top with hot shrimp.

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings): 200 g of ripe strawberries, 300 g of any baked or smoked poultry meat (duck or goose is best), 150 g of fresh pineapple pulp or 100 g of canned pineapples, 2 sweet peppers, 5 boiled eggs, 100 ml of unsweetened yogurt or sour cream, 2 tbsp. l. favorite herbs, 50 ml white wine, salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the poultry meat into thin strips.
  2. Wash the pepper, remove the core and cut into similar strips.
  3. Wash the strawberries and cut them into quarters or slightly smaller.
  4. Cut the pineapple into small slices.
  5. Hard boil the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the yolks on a fine grater, cut the whites into long strips.
  6. Prepare a dressing from yogurt, white wine, herbs and seasonings, add grated yolk to it.
  7. Place the salad in tall glasses or bowls in layers, spreading with sauce and try to keep the strawberry layer on top.

Light salad with strawberries and mozzarella

Ingredients (for 4 servings): 500 g ripe strawberries, 250 g mozzarella, 1 grapefruit or orange, 3 tbsp. aromatic vegetable oil, 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to taste, 100 g of salad mix, fresh thyme or basil, a little honey.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the strawberries, dry them and cut them into halves.
  2. Carefully place it among plates on a bed of salad mix.
  3. Lightly dry the mozzarella, heat on the grill if desired, and cut the balls in half. Add cheese to strawberries.
